Save Money with Extreme Couponing and Compatible Printer Ink

Posted by on

Extreme couponing has definitely caught on! There are blogs, websites and TV programs dedicated to the idea of saving money through the use of coupons - and we mean coupons!

It takes time and a lot of organization and planning to reap the most benefits from couponing but you’ll find many bloggers who make it much easier. One blogger makes a trip to the major stores in her market area every Monday morning and posts the best deals for her followers. A simple search on Google for “extreme couponing blogs” should provide you with more than enough sites to look through to find one that shares tips and tricks for the stores you shop most.

To really get the most from extreme couponing, you have to be willing to buy products and store them for future use. Most bloggers will tell you that storing enough for three months is about the right ratio. That means you aren’t going to buy toothpaste when you need it – you’re going to buy a lot of toothpaste when it’s on sale using coupons and have enough for up to as much as three months or more. Crazy you say? Not really when you realize the savings – in fact, sometimes you even get things for FREE and who doesn’t like that? Here are a few tips from Inkbarn on how to get started:

Storage: Find a shoebox, an envelope system or a binder that works best for you and create a system for keeping your coupons. Most bloggers have their favorite method and process. Figure out how you shop and how you want to keep track of coupons and start there. You can always adjust it later.

Collecting coupons: Get the Sunday paper and clip the coupons! You’ll also find many sites online from which you can print coupons. Be sure to have enough compatible ink cartridges on hand for your printer so you don’t run out mid-stream as most of these coupon sites restrict you to printing one or two of the same coupon. Look thru the circulars for the best deals in your area and make great notes on what you want, the cost, the size and how many coupons you have. Visit these sites from which you can print your own coupons:

  • SmartSource.com
  • Coupons.com
  • Redplum.com
  • CouponNetwork.com

Forget brand loyalty: If you want to experience the best savings, be willing to try new brands. Your favorite toothpaste might not be on sale or you may not have coupons but you might find that a competitors has a buy 1, get 1 free offer and when combined with a coupon, the toothpaste may be dirt cheap! Are you willing to try another brand to get a tube of toothpaste for $.69 when it normally costs close to $3.00? Flexibility can save you lots of money!

Here are a few more tips:

  1. Read the stores coupon policy online.
  2. Don’t buy just because you have a coupon. Sometimes it’s worth bypassing a certain sale for a future sale when the price is lower.
  3. Keep track of your favorite stores and favorite products. Maintain a record of when certain products go on sale and plan to stockpile when the best deals arise.
  4. Don’t clip coupons you’ll never use. If you don’t need Polident, don’t cut it out.

In addition to the savings you’ll incur because of shopping with coupons at optimal times, save money on your printer ink at Inkbarn. With up to 88% savings over OEM ink cartridges, you may just save enough for a favorite purchase.
